Whistleblowing law: a new playing field

The European Commission proposed in April 2018 pan-European legislation for the protection of whistleblowers. Jack Mitchell, Barrister at Old Square Chambers, considers the Commission’s proposals in the context of sport and hopes that they may serve as the catalyst required to encourage all sports governing bodies to review their current procedures and better understand what they should be doing to protect sporting integrity.
