Hyperandrogenism and the IAAF’s Eligibility Regulations for Female Classification - fair, meaningful or necessary?

On 23 April 2018 the International Association of Athletics Federations (‘IAAF’) issued new Eligibility Regulations for Female Classification (Athletes with Differences of Sexual Development) which come into effect from 1 November 2018. Rupert Beloff, Barrister at 4-5 Gray’s Inn Square, provides insight into the concerns raised since publication of the new Regulations, the delicacy of the issues raised and the likely grounds for legal challenge.
