Italy’s new self-exclusion system for the remote gambling sector

The Italian Gambling Authority (‘ADM’) has recently enhanced its set of rules on responsible gaming for remote gambling operators, which introduces a Unified Self-Exclusion Registry (the so-called ‘RUA’) that enables players to self-exclude from all licensed remote gambling websites and apps available in Italy. Though the system is already active, the ADM is expected to issue further guidelines to help remote gambling licensees with implementation as Valérie Peano Attorney at Law at European Gambling Lawyers & Advisors, and Member of the Online Gambling Lawyer Editorial Board explains.
