Recent developments in Austrian gaming law

While the past years have not brought significant changes to Austrian gaming legislation, there have been major developments in case law. Numerous recently decided and currently pending preliminary ruling procedures before the Court of Justice of the European Union (‘CJEU’) relate to the all important question of whether Austrian gambling law complies with EU market freedoms.
