Brazilian Bill targets online gambling transactions

In Brazil, two draft bills to regulate online gambling have stalled in the country’s legislature, though the arrival of a third draft bill - which seeks to prohibit financial transactions with or on overseas online gambling websites - has served to highlight the expectations surrounding one of the stalled bills, Bill of Law No. 186/2014, which would legalise online gambling in Brazil. Evy Marques and Vivian Tito Rudge of Felsberg Advogados discuss the new draft bill and the status of the other relevant draft legislation.
