Pension schemes need to step up in regards to cyber security

There has so far been no reported cyber security breaches in relation to pension schemes - but it may only be a matter of time before one occurs. Occupational pension scheme trustees need to make sure that they are taking notice of the cyber security risks following the publication of specific guidance on cyber security principles for pension schemes, which has been issued by the UK Pensions Regulator. Simon Tyler and Hadassah Shulman of Pinsent Masons LLP comment in this article on the cyber risks posed to pension scheme trustees and the regulator’s recent guidance.
