Incident response and reporting under the NIS Directive

Recently the UK Government published its response to its consultation on the implementation of the EU Security of Network and Information Systems Directive (the ‘NIS Directive’) into UK law. For companies falling within the reach of the NIS Directive, there will be substantial overlap with the security and incident notification requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’).
